As an Apprentice with Even Construction, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the construction industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and receive comprehensive training to become a valuable asset to our construction team.
- Learn and understand the fundamental principles of construction, safety protocols, and industry-specific best practices.
- Assist experienced construction professionals in various tasks, including but not limited to:
– Site preparation
– Float and dock work
– Framing and carpentry
– Plumbing and electrical work
– Roofing and insulation
– Interior finishing
– Demolition and renovation
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Learn how to operate and maintain construction machinery and equipment.
- Comply with all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects efficiently and within established timelines.
- Participate in on-the-job training and attend educational programs or classes as required.
- Show a strong commitment to learning and improving construction skills, while seeking mentorship from experienced team members.
- Assist with project documentation, including measurements, drawings, and project reports.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled in a related trade school program).
- Strong interest in the construction industry and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Willingness to follow directions and learn from experienced professionals.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be necessary.
