This home was built on one our concrete foundations. These floats are engineered for each house to provide exact leveling and heights desired . They are a no maintenance float that will never need additional flotation and are varmint free. The real nice feature is offering the radiant floor heat in the concrete floors.
This home was a lot of fun to build. The owners, Leslie and Brian brought great energy and insight to the project. Leslie owns a clothing retail store in NW Portland with a great design mind and Brian is retired comedian, keeping the daily decision making very entertaining. They have built and remodeled numerous homes and know how the process works.
The home is very contemporary and fits them perfectly.
This home had been in the mind of the owner since she was a kid living on the river in the same morrage thirty years prior.
The Holtz's raised there family, kids went to college and they decided to go back where Kelly lived as a teenager.
This custom home along with a guest tender house is everything they wanted. It has a open first floor plan, large kitchen and great room, with a den/guest bedroom off the main room. Kelly's craft room/office is also on the first floor. The second floor is basically all master bedroom/laundry and closet. The master bedroom enjoys the views of the Willamette river and all of downtown Portland

What makes floating homes so challenging for a construction crew? ‘There’s no level on the river.’
If you’re going to have somebody build you a home, and you’re going to spend that much money, it’s very nice to be able to trust the person you’re giving all this money to, to build this house…and Marc was definitely that man.
